As a class we hosted a charity gig that went extremely smoothly.
The planning side wasn't so good because we wasted to much time at trying to find the right venue but the marketing side was excellent we created a press release, Facebook page, a powerpoint for the college newsletter and the poster. Press release- We wrote out a press release to the henley newspaper giving out all the information about the gig; where it is,the date of the gig and who the venue is sponsoring. We also gave information about our class; who we are and why we are hosting this gig.Theres Information about the line-up; all the performers that are playing at the gig and what type of genres we are playing as artists. We gave out our Facebook event page in case people are interested in contacting us and knowing more about the gig. As you can see on the right side the this press release is just an idea but its very straight forward and simple at the bottom though is the real press released. Posters-
The posters were created on a powerpoint software. They were simply drawn with a dark blue foundation background with all the information on top, each point has a different style of font to make it stand out more.As you can see the information that gives out are about the performers, the date, the time, venue and charities. The posters were hand out to cancer research, oxfam charity shops, as well the record shops and a few other stores. The poster was created to remind people that about the venue because all the information was already given out on the newsletter, Facebook page and press release. charity posters-
I had a lot of charity posters to promote the gig and the charities itself but the problem was that i couldn't get a lot of the cancer research leaflets so what i mostly had was the free packaging of cancer research that includes 1or 2 posters, the rest was oxfam tons of leaflets, posters and stickers. |
College Newsletter-
Oxfancer music gig powerpoint was made to promote our gig in the college newsletter and website. To promote it we sent out an email to the centre assistant Natalie Kozakiewicz and sent her a presentation that had all the information about the gig, performers and the hosts as you can see down bellow. Facebook page-
The Facebook page was created to attract audiences, especially friends and families of the performers. On the page it was given out all information about the venue, charities and performers and it also had pictures and the address of the pub so people know where the pub is. |
