workshop-
The workshop that im doing is a piano ochestral workshop my plan was putting the kids in 3 groups and each group will have a keyboard. i would give each group a
sheet of the same music but different parts and they will be working in group on how to play the chords or the notes of the part that i gave them and in the end they have to complete the song together with the parts that i give them but there will be rules:1 rule they can only talk with the people that is in the same group 2.they all have to coperate with each other in the group 3.there will no help coming from me 4.grumpy out! 5.there will be points for each group the points are: 5 points for coperating.1 point for each note or
chord you get right.10 points for following all of my rules.the winners will get a box full of sweets 2nd place will get sticker losers will have to go in to a dark room and play a horror game on my pc with headphones.game will probably be slenderman
lessons with richard-our lessons with richard been quite fun because he`s been showing us different was to coordinate a workshop so weve been playing different kind of games such as body percussion, hearing games and other kids games, weve been also showing our own ideas to the group to make sure if our game works and if it gives people an idea what true workshops are.I got a lot of ideas from my other colleagues some of them were planing to do a songwritting workshop others were planing on doing a body percussion workshop and most of the ideas that ive got was to use a plan b if my workshop goes wrong.

piano workshop
ive set up the date and everything else to do my piano workshop it will be after half term they will be sending me an email saying when i can do it but ill be doing in highcrest with year 7 after midday they have keyboards in highcrest so the only thing that ill be needing are my laptop with all of notes of the workshop so i wont forget and the stickers also i have a teacher that could help me out when im doing the workshop so if me or the kids will need any help he will be there.
This was my small workshop that i did in Richards class with Dan and Louie what i was trying to show was what is the meaning of a pitch and how to identify it i took this idea from a YouTube video teaching kids what a pitch is.I think the workshop went alright i feel like i could have done better but i had no ideas left than showing them on the piano if the note is high or lower.Louie participated more in the lesson because he plays piano and no exactly what chord or note i was playing and Dan knew the volume difference of a chord I the end it was quite fascinating to watch them work together to find what the difference is.
I chose the song let it go for the kids to play on the piano as its the most famous song to play i was planing on giving them the chords of the song and each pair will play different chords.
been talking to natalie about the workshop and she is willing to help me out if i help her out when she does her own workshop i have everything ready and i gaved her jobs that she needs to do and thats to learn the chords and help them out if they ever asks for help.

workshop evaluation-My workshop dint turn out to be as i expected.I asked natalie if she could help me out with the workshop my plan was to give them the sheet of music of let if go and teach them how to play from the sheet but then i remebered that they dont understand about notation because they dont have any experience so they cant really read the sheets. When they came in the room i though it would be a small group of kids it turns out to be that there were 30 kids in the classroom so i had to come up with another
plan that would be fun for the kids to perticipate and i wouldent have to run around teaching all of them how to play the chords of the song. What i did was put them
into 3 large groups 1 group would learn how to play the bass part on the piano the 2nd group would learn how to play the vocals part of the song and the 3rd group would learn how to sing by having natalie to teach them of course natalie dint have any caution about this so she was a bit upset that i dint warn her but in the end she enjoyed it.I put the vocal group and the piano group into different rooms so me and nat would have more privacy to teach each group i also asked mister swannapool (the supervisor) to teach the bass group the bass part of the song so i wouldent have to run around to teach each group how to play.I was angry that i dint make up a b plan for this workshop but i really liked
doing it.Each group had different activities natalie teached her group some vocal excircise such as scales and others to make it easier for them to sing this song the only part she had difficulties to teach was the last note of the song where they had to hit the highest note in the whole song.I teached my own group how to play the chords for the vocal piano group and i teached the bass group how to play the bass notes with the help of mister swannapool it was quite hard for me to teach because i had to run around to teach each person how to play but i realized half way through the workshop that i could have put the kinds in pairs so they could work together and if they were stuck the other partener could help them out.nearly at the end of the workshop i helped natalies group to sing with me playing the song on the piano i made a lot of mistakes but
in the end it was worth it.I think they had a lot of fun by participating in the workshop but i would change some stuff that i did such as:the piano groups i would put them in a large
group and make them work with each other.I would probably try and find a easier song for them to learn on the piano while natalies group would learn let it go.I would make them participate in the end to show each group what they have learned.
