P3 describe the processes
Implemented in preparation for the performance of an extended program of music Warm-up-scales or any other stuff Practice the song itself Rehearsing the song in front of people Selecting appropriate venue Structure practice routine getting pre-feedback from other performers get inspired by other artists selecting appropriate songs relaxation exercise Run through check if pedal is working before the show (if you are using pedal) |
M3 explains the processes
Implemented in preparation for the performance of an extended program of music Warm-ups-scales I did this to help me with my others songs so I won’t make a lot of mistakes. Practise the song itself-I did this so I’ll be ready on the day and I know the whole song by heart Venue-I chose this venue because of the particular audience that interact with the songs that I’ll be playing. This venue will be in a friend’s house on the 14th of February I’ll be playing in front of a group of friends that chose the particular songs that I will be playing for my solo performance. Weekly practise routine-I did this to keep evidence of my practise videos so I can check back and see the mistakes I made. Relaxation exercise-relaxing exercise helped me to be less anxious and nervous on the day that I’ll be doing my performance and because of the relaxation I made fewer mistakes while playing my repertoires. Run through-needed to this to make sure the piano or keyboard is working correctly and the mic as I’m doing one duet with a friend of mine who is singing let it go. Making sure the keyboard and mic have the correct level of volume so you can hear both. Other preparations-Need to make sure the pedal is working (if I’m using the pedal) and the mic is making any sound. I selected 7 pieces for my venue they are victor`s piano solo -Danny Elfman Moonrise-Brian Crain Let it go –Kristin Anderson Kiss the rain-Yiruma Romantic flight-John Powell An ideal of hope-Hans Zimmer The relaxation exercise that I did was hot water warm up and physical exercise warm up |
D3 evaluate the processes
Implemented in preparation for the performance of an extended program of music I found that the warm up exercises were very effective and it relaxed me before the performance and it also gave me a feeling of confidence that I could perform the more difficult passages When I started playing artists songs knew everything by heart and dint make a lot of mistakes I dint rehearse my songs in front of an audience so it was a bit nervous when I played in my solo performance I did relaxation exercises Before my solo performance and it was very effective because it gave me confidence to perform my intermediate songs. Did a run through before my solo performance to get used to play on the grand piano Did not used any other items than the grand piano My songs dint last as long as I thought so I had to perform some of my compositions that I created before the solo performance. My run through was 20 seconds each song |
evalutation-The songs that i played wasnt the ones that i planned before my solo performance.I started out with fur elise for a warm up but i still messed up some of the notes in the beggining.I also couldent play in the normal rythm because i start learning this songs with a fast tempo. Then after fur elise i played compitine d`un autre this composition was on my weekly rehearsels before my performance but for some reason i made quited a lot of mistakes when i played and i feel like i could have use more dynamics for that particular song. After compitine d`un autre i decided to play a composition (chords) that i made and made scales and extra notes on the day i was doing my solo performance I found this song quite remarkable because of the way that created on the day i was playing my solo performance i could have used different chords but dint know what chords i should change to.After my solo performance i played pirates of the caribbean decided that this song was appropriate to play after my original composition because it was in the major key.I feel like i could used a bit more dynamics and less mistakes for this song but i played well for grade 7 song. After pirates of the caribbean i played ill make a man out of you because it was also a major song and its a show off song meaning that it makes the pianist look like their playing even better.I made mistakes at nearly last part and i think it brought the whole song down because of that mistake.I also feel that i could have used the sustain pedal better to play the bridge with out feeling like the chords and notes are more seperated. After ill make a man out of you i played my other composition i feel like a made a lot of mistakes in the beggining part because i dint remeber which chords would go first after that I started playing and i feel like i added a story than playing same passages at the same time. The last song was let it go felt like that song could have been played a little bit better because of the mistakes i made on the chorus especially the first one i also feel that i could have used better dynamics for this song to add more feeling.
